Discovered or Developed??

Those words were posed to me about 2 years ago by Perry pre-Unleash conference, and they have continued to ring true in my ears…  Is my personal desire in ministry to be Discovered or Developed???

The same question can be asked about our online presence….

our blogs….

our twitters

our facebooks

our ministries

In all of our efforts… our posts… our links… our questions… our networking…

Discovered or Developed

Will you expound on that more? Your post has me thinking. How can a person be developed through twitter or facebook?
  • well ultimately i think it has to do w/ motives of the heart... and/or a state-of-mind.....

Why invite anyone to be a friend on facebook? so they might know me? or know my agenda? or is it so that i might glean from them and their leadership web.... engaging with them to learn from them... that would be a tangible way it plays out in my mind.

From a twitter perspective... i've seen guys like @garylamb and @perrynoble use twitter to get a pulse on cultural norms or specific questions they are engaging in an upcoming sermon.... that's a way to be develop preaching/teaching via twitter....

Those are 2 examples i've seen.... im sure some other folks have some great examples out there... Any takers on Rob's question???
  • Getting discovered is a deceptive goal. I assure you it can't deliver what you think it promises.
  • good word man. great question to continually reflect on.
